Abstract

Abstract The heavy and complex workload of officers at Subbiddokpol Biddokkes Polda East Java makes them vulnerable to stress. This study aimed to analyze the effect of stress management education on stress levels among police officers at Subbiddokpol Biddokkes Polda East Java. The research used a one-group pre-post test design with 28 respondents and employed the Job Stress Scale as the instrument. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Results showed that before the intervention, 64.3% of respondents experienced high stress, while after the intervention, 57.1% were in the low-stress category. Statistical analysis revealed a significant effect of stress management education on reducing stress levels (p = 0.000; p < 0.05). Stress management education proved effective in lowering work-related stress due to its systematic and practical delivery method, which helped participants understand and apply stress management techniques effectively. It is recommended that Subbiddokpol Biddokkes Polda East Java regularly implement stress management education programs as a preventive effort to maintain mental health and improve officers’ performance.
