Abstract

ABSTRACT Chronic kidney failure is a clinical condition characterized by a decrease in kidney function and damage to kidney tissue, requiring kidney replacement therapy such as hemodialysis. The impact of chronic kidney failure causes sufferers to regularly undergo hemodialysis to remove waste and excess fluids from the body, as well as to maintain the balance of essential substances in the body. The purpose of the research is to determine the relationship between the duration of hemodialysis and intradialytic blood pressure in patients with chronic kidney failure at Lavalette Hospital Malang. The research design uses a correlational analytic design. The population of the study consisted of 107 patients with chronic kidney failure undergoing hemodialysis and the sample of the study consisted of 84 respondents determined using secondary data based on medical record data. Data collection techniques used an instrument in the form of medical records to determine the duration of hemodialysis and intradialytic blood pressure. The data analysis method used is the Spearman Rank test. The research results proved that the majority of 54 (64,3%) respondents underwent rapid hemodialysis duration and almost all 71 (84,5%) respondents had intradialysis blood pressure in the hypertensive category. The Spearman Rank test results demonstrated that there is a relationship between hemodialysis duration and intradialysis blood pressure in chronic kidney failure patients at Lavalette Hospital Malang with a value of p = (0,000). Future researchers need to investigate other factors that influence intradialysis blood pressure in chronic kidney failure patients, including lifestyle and dietary patterns.
