Abstract

Abstract Hypertension is the most significant risk factor for heart disease, myocardial infarction, left ventricular hypertrophy, congestive heart failure, aneurysm, stroke, chronic kidney disease, hypertensive retinopathy. The purpose of this study was to analyze the Effect of Health Effort Education on Hypertension Medication Compliance in the Cemengbakalan Village Area, Sidoarjo.This study used quantitative with a Quasy experimental design using one group Pretest and posttest with a sample size of 45 people in March 2025. The study was conducted from March to April.The results of the study showed that most respondents occasionally had difficulty taking medication as many as 21 people (46.7%). The next sequence, respondents who sometimes had difficulty taking medication as many as 16 people (35.5%), respondents who had no difficulty taking medication as many as 8 people (17.8%).Based on the calculation of the Shapiro Wilk normality test, the normality value of the pretest data is 0.000, which is smaller than the p value of 0.05, and the posttest data is 0.001, which is smaller than the p value of 0.05. It is concluded that the pretest and posttest data in this study are not normally distributed. So when they get an assignment from their lecturer, they will discuss it with their friends to complete the assignment.
