Abstract
Abstract: Background: Married female nurses frequently experience dual role conflict between professional and family responsibilities, which may increase burnout and negatively affect healthcare quality. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the relationship between dual role conflict and burnout levels among female nurses at Lavalette Hospital, Malang. Methods: This study employed a quantitative analytical observational method with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 30 married female nurses selected using total sampling. Dual role conflict was measured using the Work–Family Conflict Scale, while burnout was assessed using the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test with a significance level of 0.05. Results: The majority of respondents experienced moderate dual role conflict (80.0%) and moderate burnout (73.3%). Statistical analysis showed a significant relationship between dual role conflict and burnout levels (p < 0.001). Conclusion: Dual role conflict is significantly associated with burnout among female nurses. Organizational support and family-friendly workplace policies are essential to reduce burnout and improve nurse well-being.. Keywords: dual role conflict; burnout; female nurses
