Abstract
Abstract - Fever in toddlers is a common health problem that often causes anxiety among parents, especially mothers. In the digital era, technologies based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) are increasingly used to obtain children's health information. However, limited digital literacy may lead to misinterpretation of information and potentially increase anxiety. This study aimed to determine the relationship between AI-based digital literacy and maternal anxiety levels in mothers of toddlers with fever at Klinik Pratama Rawat Inap Dokter Anita Pungging. This study used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 73 respondents selected using consecutive sampling. Data were collected using the TAIGHA (The Trust in AI-Generated Health Advice) questionnaire to measure AI-based digital literacy and the SCAS (Spence Children’s Anxiety Scale – Parent Report) to measure maternal anxiety levels. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank correlation test. Most respondents had a high level of AI-based digital literacy (50.7%), while maternal anxiety was mostly at a moderate level (57.5%). The Spearman test showed r = -0.378 with a p-value = 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant negative correlation between AI-based digital literacy and maternal anxiety. Adequate AI-based digital literacy helps mothers access, understand, and critically evaluate health information, thereby reducing anxiety when their toddlers experience fever. Keywords: digital literacy, artificial intelligence, maternal anxiety, toddler fever.
