Abstract

Abstract Incomplete documentation can pose risks such as errors in communication, in action planning, in taking action, so that it can ensnare nurses because there is no official documentation that has legal value. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the completeness of electronic nursing documentation at Irna Tulip Sidoarjo Hospital. The research design is correlational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The independent variable research factors that influence the completeness of electronic nursing documentation (knowledge, abilities and facilities). The dependent variable is the completeness of the documentation. The research population was all nurses in the Tulip Room at Sidoarjo Hospital, consisting of 82 nurses. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique as many as 68 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire instrument and processed using the Spearman Rho test. The results of the Spearman Rho test show that the three variables have a value of ρ = 0.00 < α = 0.05. Most of the respondents' knowledge was good as many as 36 respondents, and there was a positive relationship between knowledge and the completeness of electronic nursing documentation with a value of r = 0.445. Half of the respondent's ability is good ability as many as 34 respondents (50%) and there is a positive relationship between ability and completeness of nursing documentation with a value of r = 0.640. Nearly half stated that electronic documentation facilities were in the good category, as many as 29 respondents (42.6%) and there was a positive relationship between facilities and the completeness of electronic nursing documentation with a value of r=0.522. This means that the better the knowledge and ability, the more complete the documentation carried out by the nurse will be. As with the facilities, the better and more complete the facilities provided, the more complete the documentation carried out by the nurse. Completeness of nursing documentation is an important aspect that must be carried out by every nurse as an obligation and responsibility of nurses in providing nursing services in a professional manner.
