Abstract

ABSTRACT: The aim of the study was to determine the factors associated with fluid stability in patient who have Chronic Kidney Disease with Regular Hemodialysis in the Hemodialysis Room of the Sidoarjo General Hospital. As for what is being studied is the relationship of motivasion with fluid stability and the relationship of family support with fluid stability. The research method used is a correlational research design with a cross sectional. The population in this study were 250 patients who have chronic kidney disease with regular hemodialysis, and 67 samples were taken by random sampling. The instruments use were postive statement motivation questionnaire (Favorable), negative statement motivation questionnaire (Unfavorable), family support questionnaire and observation related to the increase in IDWG (Interdialytic Weight Gain). In analyzing the data used in this study, motivation and fluid stability used Chie Square with p value < 0.001. So, it can be concluded that α < 0.05, there is a relationship between motivation and fluid stability in patients who have cronic kidney disease with regular hemodialysis in the Hemodialysis Room of the Sidoarjo General Hospital. For family support and fluid stability using Chie Square p value 0.224. So, it can be concluded that α > 0.05 there is no relationship between family support and fluid stability in patients who have cronic kidney disease with regular hemodialysis in the Hemodialysis Room of the Sidoarjo General Hospital. Pastients with Cronic Kidney Disease are expected to maintain motivation, and the family will also continue to provide support, motivation and always love the patient, so that fuid stability can be maintained properly so that the patient’s quality of life incresases.
