Abstract

ABSTRACT The stress of involvement will cause a burden for parents, distance learning makes some parents disturbed and disturbs the mind because they have not been able to adapt to the division of time between work and supervision of children's learning. Objective - To determine the relationship between parental stress levels and involvement in online learning assistance for elementary school-aged children at SDN Cangkir. Research Design - correlational research with a cross sectional approach, the sampling technique is a simple random sampling technique with 40 samples of parents. The study was conducted in September 2021. The research instrument used a parenting stress index and a Likert scale questionnaire. Data analysis used the Spearman Rho test. The results of the study showed that most of the stress levels of parents were high stress, namely as many as 29 (72%), and almost half of the involvement of parents in online learning assistance, as many as 18 (45%). The results of the Spearman rank statistical test obtained a degree of significance of p = 0.000 by setting the degree of significance α = <0.05 then Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted. Correlation strength (r) = 0.569 indicates a one-way correlation degree and the correlation is quite strong because it is between 0.40 – 0.599. This shows that there is a relationship between stress levels and parental involvement at SDN Cup Driorejo-Gresik. The higher the level of parental stress, the lower parental involvement in online learning. Respondents are expected to try to accept pandemic conditions so that learning must be carried out online to maintain public health Keywords: Stress Level,Parent Involvement, Elementary Age Children
