Abstract

Tuberculosis is one of the most contagious diseases in the world today, not only in developing countries but also in developed countries. WHO estimates one-third of the world's population has been infected by pulmonary TB. According to data of Mojokerto District Health Office, new patients in 2011 up to 2015, the number of TB BTA (+) cases was 527 with mortality rate during treatment per 100000 population, 0.47 with 2 deaths. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of TB control programs. The research design is cross-sectional with descriptive research type which aims to describe the activity of prevention program of tuberculosis in the working area of Puri Health Center of Mojokerto Regency The study was conducted from January to February 2017. Techniques and instruments of data collection using the observation sheet. Data processing is done that is editing, coding, scoring, entering data, tabulating. The results showed that the number of new cases of sexually transmitted TB (+) by sex in the end of 2017 was 43 patients with 22 patients (51%) and 21 women (49%). While the prevalence of TB at the end of 2017 amounted to 59. It still shows that there are still many tuberculosis patients in the work area of Puri Health Center. The tuberculosis disease eradication program is one of the programs in health center. This program is implemented by health workers to reduce the prevalence rate of tuberculosis patients. The importance of tuberculosis eradication program is to provide knowledge to the community, especially people with tuberculosis disease so that people who have not been exposed will not be infected resulting in an increase in the prevalence rate of tuberculosis patients.
