Abstract

ABSTRACT High-risk pregnancy is a pregnancy that will cause greater danger and complications for both themother and the fetus in the womb and can cause death, pain, disability, and discomfort. The purpose of the study was to determine high-risk pregnancies with delivery methods at the Dapet Health Center, Gresik Regency Health Office. The research design used in this study was an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were pregnant women registered in the Dapet Health Center working area from January to December 2023, totaling 213 people. This study used a simple random sampling technique in sampling with a result of 104 respondents. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test using univariate and bivariate analysis. The study was conducted in January 2024 at the Dapet Gresik Health Center. From the study of 104 respondents, the results obtained were that most of the pregnancies were high risk, namely 54 respondents (51.9%), while low risk was 26 respondents (25.0%), and very high risk was 24 respondents (23.1%). Most respondents chose the SC delivery method, namely 74 respondents (71.2%) and the normal delivery method was 30 respondents (28.8%). The results of the chi square test obtained a value of ρ = 0.001 which is smaller than a = 0.05 indicating that there is a statistically significant relationship between high-risk pregnancies and delivery methods at the Dapet Health Center, Gresik Regency Health Office. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between high-risk pregnancies and delivery methods. It is expected that pregnant women who have low risk to remain alert to increasing scores during pregnancy, for mothers who are at high risk should choose the right delivery method to avoid risks during delivery, for health workers should always continuously monitor mothers with high-risk pregnancies and always provide education during pregnancy and delivery.
