Abstract
ABSTRACK Family planning is an action that helps married couples to avoid pregnancy with the aim of spacing pregnancies. According to WHO, contraceptive use has increased in many parts of the world, particularly in Latin America and the Caribbean, rising slightly from 66.7% and 67.0%. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between factors that influence the choice of contraceptive implants in couples of childbearing age. The research design uses an analytical survey research method with a cross sectional approach. The population is all PUS mothers who accept family planning implants in Kalen Village, Dlanggu District. With a sample of 80 which was carried out using simple random sampling. The results of the research from cross tabulations carried out statistical tests using the Chi-square test, it was found that there was a relationship between age and the choice of implant birth control, p value: 0.028 <0.05. There was a relationship between education and the choice of implant birth control. P value: 0.028 <0.05, There is a relationship between parity and the choice of implant contraceptive p value: 0.011 <0.05 meaning., There is no relationship between employment and the choice of implant contraceptive p value: 0.0129 >0.05., There is relationship between support and the choice of implant contraceptive p value: 0.002 <0.05. It is recommended that health workers provide KIE to birth control acceptors about the various types of birth control and their side effects so that birth control acceptors can use contraceptives effectively.
