Abstract

Abstract - Vaginal discharge is a reproductive health problem that often occurs in young women and adults and can disrupt daily activities. So it can cause problems with the reproductive system. This study aims to determine the effect of health education on adolescent girls' knowledge about preventing pathological vaginal discharge at MTs Negeri 1 Mojokerto Regency. This research was an experimental quasy design with a pre-test and post- test 4 without control design. The number of samples of 178 respondents was taken by simple random sampling technique. The research was conducted in February 2024 at MTs Negeri 1 Mojokerto Regency. Furthermore, the data was processed and analyzed by the Wilcoxon test. The mean pre-test score is 6.30 and the mean post-test score is 7.66. The Wilcoxon test results show a p-value of 0.000. This shows that there is an effect of health education on young women's knowledge about preventing pathological vaginal discharge. Health education has a role in increasing teenagers' knowledge about pathological vaginal discharge. For this reason, health workers are expected to be able to develop health promotion activities to increase teenagers' knowledge about vaginal discharge by using shared health education methods and media.
