Abstract
Abstract: One of the main therapeutic modalities to help recovery after stroke is a rehabilitation program. One rehabilitation program that is almost always carried out is physical therapy (physiotherapy). In principle, physiotherapy is carried out as soon as possible. Providing rehabilitation measures as early as possible (< 48 hours of onset) is an indicator of a good stroke service process. Stroke patients need good treatment to prevent physical and mental disability. Therapy is needed immediately to reduce further cerebral injury. One of the rehabilitation programs that can be given to stroke patients is joint mobilization with Range of Motion (ROM) exercises. The aim of this study was to identify muscle strength before and after Range of Motion (ROM) training and to analyze the effect of Range of Motion (ROM) training by the family on muscle strength in post-stroke patients. The research design is descriptive using the Pre-experiment method with One Group Pre Post Test Design. The population in this study was 38 respondents. The sample in this study consisted of 32 respondents, taken using purposive sampling, taken using an observation sheet for assessing the Degree of Muscle Strength. The statistical test in this research is the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study were obtained from patients before Range of Motion (ROM) training, 17 people (53.1%) received grade 1, 15 people (46.9%), and 15 patients after Range of Motion training. (ROM) found that 25 patients received grade 4 (78.1%), grade 3 were 7 people (21.9%). Almost all of the patients experienced an increase in muscle strength from minimal contractility to complete range of motion against gravity with some resistance.
