Abstract

Abstract: The documentation of medical records or BRM in healthcare institutions is crucial as it reflects the role of nurses in providing quality healthcare services. The documentation of medical records is influenced by several factors including workload imbalance and leadership styles applied within a healthcare institution. This study aims to determine the relationship between workload and leadership styles on the documentation of Electronic BRM at Al Islam H.M Mawardi Hospital. This research is a quantitative study with an analytical observational design adopting a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study consisted of 45 nurses in the inpatient ward. The independent variables are workload and leadership styles, while the dependent variable is the documentation of Electronic BRM. The research instrument used was a questionnaire sheet. Data analysis technique used SPSS 16 wits spearman rho . The results of this study show that the workload of nurses is measured as heavy (44.4%), while the dominant leadership style is democratic at 46.6%. There is a relationship between workload and the documentation of Electronic BRM indicated by a p correlation of 0,001 . Leadership style also influences the documentation of Electronic BRM indicated by a p-correlation of 0.001 The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between the workload of nurses and the leadership style of the hospital towards the completeness of Electronic BRM documentation at Al Islam H.M Mawardi Hospital. It is hoped that this research can be used as a reference and guide to improve the quality of human resources and healthcare services in hospitals.
