Abstract

Abstract - Tuberculosis is still a problem that must be overcome in society, because the rate of non-compliance with taking medication among sufferers is still high. Another cause is knowledge, the better a person's level of knowledge, the more obedient they will be in carrying out quality treatment and the higher a person's motivation, the higher a person's enthusiasm will be to achieve healing. Family and community support has a big role in increasing treatment compliance by providing supervision and providing encouragement to sufferers. The aim of this research is to determine the factors associated with the recovery of pulmonary TB patients at RSU Anwar Medika Hospital. This research uses a cross sectional research design. The sample was taken by purposive sampling as many as 33 respondents. Data was collected by interview using a questionnaire. The collected data was processed using the Spearman Rank test. The research results showed that almost all respondents had good knowledge, were compliant in taking TB medication, had good family support and almost all respondents had cured results in the evaluation of pulmonary TB treatment. The results of the statistical analysis of the Rank Spearman test show that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and the recovery of TB patients ρ value (0.001), there is a relationship between the level of adherence to taking medication and the recovery of TB patients ρ value (0.001), there is a relationship between the level of family support and the recovery of TB patients ρ value (0.000). The complexity of the problems that affect the recovery of pulmonary TB requires an approach through regular counseling so that special attention is needed from health service agencies.
