Abstract

Abstract – The provision of education can be in the form of health education which aims to determine the influence of health education on efforts to prevent heat stroke in education students for the formation of Brimob non-commissioned officers at the Watukosek Brimob Pusdik. The results of the study found that students' knowledge about the prevention of heat stroke before health education was given most of them had sufficient knowledge, namely 62 students (56.9%). After being given health education, almost all of them have good knowledge, namely 86 students (78.9%). The results of the Wilcoxon test show that there is an influence of health education on efforts to prevent heat stroke in education students for the formation of Brimob non-commissioned officers at the Watukosek Brimob Center with ρ value results of 0.000 ≤ α (0.05). Audio visual media can increase students' attention, concentration and imagination then the student is expected to start learning to apply what is learned so that finally it can form knowledge, attitudes and good actions in efforts to prevent Heat Stroke.
