Abstract

Abstract - Games on gadgets are games that are being talked about all over the world, it causes various kinds of problems such as stress with a percentage of about 38-71% of students around the world who experience it, the number of stress levels in East Java Province in 2018 reached 6.82% of the population. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes on the types of games played by 5th grade students at SDN Kedungmaling, Sooko District, Mojokerto Regency. The method used in this research is quantitative method with cross sectional approach. This study uses a descriptive type with a total population of 60 and a sample of 43 respondents. The results of this study were collected using a questionnaire sheet and tested using the chi-square test, there was a significant relationship between knowledge and type of game, namely 0.003, and on attitudes and type of game, namely 0.003. The type of game affects knowledge and attitudes in students at SDN Kedungmaling, Sooko District, Mojokerto Regency because the more popular the type of game played, the more the community so that it easily exchanges knowledge which affects attitudes. The type of game played has a positive impact and also a negative impact. The positive impact of playing games is also obtained but there is a need for supervision of children by parents and the surrounding environment so that children are protected from negative impacts, and there is a need to provide knowledge.
