Abstract

ABTRACT National Health Insurance (JKN) membership is mandatory. The membership aspect is an indicator of the success of the implementation of JKN, but there are still many independent BPJS participants whose membership status is inactive and the presence of residents who are not yet BPJS participants make this coverage not reach 100%. The purpose of this study is to find out the factors that affect the participation of the BPJS Mandiri Program at the Mojokerto Regency Health Office in 2024. The type of descriptive research using quantitative methods and cross sectional research designs. The population is all people who participate in the JKN program with purposive sampling techniques, a sample of 97 respondents was obtained. The research was carried out on August 5-9, 2024 at Puri, Ngoro Health Centers and Clinics in the Mojokerto Regency area. Data analysis uses the chi square test using Fisher's exact test. The results of the study found that there was an influence of education and work on the BPJS mandiiri program with a p < value of 0.05. There was no influence of knowledge and attitude on the BPJS mandiiri program with a p > value of 0.05. Increasing JKN participation can be done through cross-sector cooperation. For example, cooperation with stakeholders and companies to get a higher number of participants. In addition, the use of information through social media needs to be more intensified to further increase the knowledge of the general public.
