Abstract

ABSTRACT The government launched the Tuberculosis Preventive Therapy (TPT) program to achieve tuberculosis elimination in 2035, which involves giving tuberculosis drugs in certain doses to the patient's household contacts. Several factors influence the acceptance of TPT by household contacts including predisposing, enabling and reinforcing factors. This study aimed to analyze the factors that influence the behavior of TPT acceptance in household contacts of TB patients in the Mojokerto District Health Office Working Area. This study used a crossectional design with a population of household contacts of TB patients in the work area of the Mojokerto District Health Office. Samples were taken randomly from subjects who met the inclusion criteria, totaling 90 people. Data were collected using a questionnaire and then analyzed using the fisher exact test and linear regression. The results showed that most respondents had TPT acceptance behavior in the good category, namely 72 people (80%) and had knowledge in the good category (71.10%). Almost 50% of respondents had a fairly good attitude towards TPT and there were still many who had a poor attitude. Most respondents also had good trust support, health worker and family support.
