Abstract
Abstract - Breast self-examination (SADARI) is a simple method that can be done for early detection of breast cancer. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that there are 65,858 cases of breast cancer in Indonesia or 16.6% of the total 396,914 cancer cases. This study used a cross-sectional design. Data were collected using knowledge, attitude, and motivation questionnaires. Data analysis using Spearman Rho test and chi square. The results showed that most of the respondents with a good level of knowledge were (65.1%), most of the positive attitudes were (57.0%), most of the motivation was good about breast self-examination (SADARI) (67.4%). The results of the Spearman Rho test show that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and the motivation of adolescent girls about breast self-examination (SADARI) (Spearman Rho p = 0.001 smaller than a = 0.005), and there is a relationship between attitude and motivation of adolescent girls about breast self-examination (SADARI) also shows a significant relationship (Chi Square p = 0.000 smaller than a = 0.005). Knowledge and attitudes are related to the motivation of adolescent girls about breast self-examination (SADARI) so it is hoped that the school will provide the best motivation such as holding extracurricular activities related to health and the school collaborates with health services, especially the nearest health center.
