Abstract

Abstract – The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the recurrence of hypertensive patients at Bhayangkara Hospital, Pusdik Brimob Watukosek. The results showed that most respondents experienced moderate stress. Dietary factors mostly have a frequency of frequent eating of unhealthy foods. Sleep Quality Factors in almost all of them have poor sleep quality. Recurrence of Hypertensive Patients mostly has occasional recurrences or 5x in a year. The results of statistical analysis of the Spearman Rank test show that there is a relationship between stress and recurrence of hypertensive patients (ρ value 0.004), there is a relationship between diet and recurrence of 1 hypertensive patients (p value 0.000) and there is a relationship between sleep quality and recurrence of hypertensive patients (p value 0.000). The complexity of the problems that affect hypertension recurrence requires an approach through regular counseling so that special attention is needed from health care agencies. In addition, patients need to run a healthy lifestyle in general to be able to reduce the risk of cardiovascular problems that will trigger recurrence.
