Abstract

Abstract – Diarrhea remains a serious health problem. This study aims to analyze the spatial distribution of diarrhea and identify related factors in Mojokerto district in 2024. This study was an analytic study with crosssectional method. The population included all administrative areas in Mojokerto district with a sample of 18 sub-districts in Mojokerto district. Data were collected through a recapitulation sheet. After data collection, spatial mapping was conducted using ArcGIS application, followed by OLS regression test to analyze the relationship between variables. The results showed that the age category 19-59 years and female gender were the most at-risk groups. Most communities have demonstrated awareness in drinking water and food management (98.6%). However, most people still use inadequate latrines (99.2%) with half of the sub-districts in Mojokerto district in 2024 having high and very high population density. Regression analysis revealed that host (age, sex) and environment (healthy latrine) factors were significant risk factors for diarrhea incidence. Household food and drinking water management and population density did not show a significant association with diarrhea incidence. This study is expected to serve as a foundation for the Health Office and related agencies in formulating policies and programs to prevent and control diarrhea in Mojokerto district.
