Abstract

to a child's nutritional status. Providing timely and nutritious MP-ASI, especially those rich in animal protein, can help prevent stunting due to nutritional deficiencies. This study aims to determine the relationship between the type of complementary feeding and the nutritional status of toddlers aged 6-24 months at the Gebangsari Village Integrated Health Post. This study used a correlational research design with a descriptive approach cross-sectional. The population in this study was 50 respondents. The sample in this study was 44 respondents, taken using the sampling technique. proportional sampling. The instruments used were an interview sheet to collect data on the type of complementary feeding and an observation sheet to collect data on nutritional status. Statistical tests used chi square. The results of the study showed that the majority of toddlers aged 6-24 months consumed local or home-made complementary foods, namely 24 toddlers (54.5%). And almost all toddlers aged 6-24 months had good nutritional status, namely 40 toddlers (91%). The results of the statistical test show significance value (p) 0.000, which means there a relationship between the type of complementary feeding and the nutritional status of toddlers aged 6-24 months at the Gebangsari Village Integrated Health Post. Toddlers who consume local or home-made MP-ASI have good nutritional status. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that mothers provide local or homemade complementary feeding while still paying attention to the diverse composition of complementary feeding, containing carbohydrates, protein and vitamins needed for growth and development.
