Abstract

ABSTACT: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is a public health problem in Indonesia. The number of sufferers and the area of distribution is increasing along with increasing mobility and population density. This research was conducted to determine the relationship between advanced treatment factors in inpatient care and the success of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever patient care. Analytical design, with a cross sectional approach, the sample size was 64 from a population of 178 patients. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The independent variables are Age, Gender, Degree of Disease, Number of Platelets. The dependent variable is the success of dengue fever services at RSUAL-ISLAM H.M. MAWARDI in 2023. Researchers used the Spearman rank correlation test and observational sheets as instrument. Almost all of the sample of 64 patients who received inpatient treatment were successfully treated, 59 patients (92.2%), 5 patients (7.8%) were not treated successfully and were then referred to another hospital. The results of the Spearman rank correlation test, obtained: 1. There is no relationship between age and service success, sig value. (2-tailed) = 0.454 > 0.05 and the correlation coefficient value is -0.095, the two variables have no relationship and are very weak in the same direction. 2. There is no relationship between gender and service success, sig value. (2-tailed) = 0.500 > 0.05 and the correlation coefficient value is -0.086, the two variables have no relationship and are very weak in the same direction. 3. There is a relationship between the patient's degree of illness and the success of the service, sig value. (2-tailed) 0.002 < 0.05 and the correlation coefficient value is 0.37, the relationship between the two variables is quite unidirectional. 4. There is a relationship between platelet count and service success, sig value. (2-tailed) 0.020 < 0.05 and the correlation coefficient value is 0.290, the relationship between the two variables is quite unidirectional. The conclusion of the research is that there is no relationship between age and gender and there is a relationship between the degree of disease and the number of platelets on the success of providing care to dengue fever patients. The higher the degree of disease and the lower the platelet count, the more difficult it is to successfully treat dengue fever patients. Keywords: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever, Service Success
