Abstract

ABSTRACT- Cervical cancer is one of the leading causes of death among women. About 95% of women do not undergo early detection, resulting in delayed diagnosis. This condition is influenced by various factors, including education, knowledge, attitude, perception, and health worker support. This study aimed to determine the factors influencing the motivation of women of reproductive age to undergo Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) screening. A correlational study with a cross-sectional approach was conducted from August 11–15, 2025. The sample consisted of 96 women of reproductive age in Semambung Village, Wonoayu Health Center area, selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed with Spearman’s correlation and logistic regression tests. The results showed significant relationships between education (p=0.000), knowledge (p=0.000), attitude (p=0.000), perception (p=0.000), and health worker support (p=0.000) with VIA screening motivation. The dominant factors is attitude (p=0.005; ExpB=3.204). Improving knowledge and fostering positive attitudes, supported by active roles of health workers, are crucial to increase women’s motivation in early cervical cancer detection through VIA. Efforts to expand access and coverage include providing VIA services through community health posts, home visits, and extending VIA service hours at primary health centers. Keywords: cervical cancer, motivation, VIA screening, knowledge, attitude, healthcare support
