Abstract

Abstract- Occupational safety and health (K3) is an important factor in industrial areas that can influence employee productivity. PT. Dr. X in Gresik Regency. This study used a cross sectional research design, the population in this study was 95 people using simple random sampling techniques and a sample of 77 people was obtained. The instruments used were questionnaires and observation of hazard reports. The research results showed that the majority of respondents were > 43 years old, with a Bachelor's degree (S1) as many as 57 (74%). Most of the SMK3 implementation was good, 57(74%) and 55 respondents behaved safely. The cross tabulation results show that the majority who assess the implementation of SMK3 as good tend to behave safely. The Chi Square statistical test results show a p value <0.000. This shows that there is a relationship between the implementation of SMK3 and safe actions at PT. X Gresik Regency. Implementing SMK3 in companies is very important because it can motivate workers to behave safely. Therefore, it is important to socialize the implementation of SMK3 in companies to workers as well as supervision while working so that workers behave safely and work accidents can be minimized.
