Abstract

ABSTRACT Hypertension is considered a fatal disease because it often appears without any warning signs. The success of hypertension treatment is influenced bySelf Care ManagementOne of these is maintaining a healthy diet. This study aims to determine the relationship between diet and blood pressure stability in hypertension sufferers in Jatirejo Village. This study uses an observational analytical design with a descriptive approach.cross sectionalThe research population was hypertension sufferers in Jatirejo Village with the sampling technique used being Simple purposive Sampling A total of 39 respondents. The independent variable was diet and the dependent variable was blood pressure stability. Data were collected usingFood Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) and tensiometer. The results showed that the majority of respondents' dietary patterns were good, with 23 respondents (59.0%), while the majority of respondents' blood pressure was stable, with 23 respondents (59.0%). Statistical test analysis usingWho squareobtained pvalue0.000 < α = 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between dietary patterns and the stability of blood pressure in hypertension sufferers in Jatirejo village. The results of this study are expected to be a reference in understanding and practicing good self-management in hypertension sufferers, especially regarding dietary management.
