Abstract

ABSTRACT The low use of MKJP is a special concern for health workers with the hope that the new paradigm of the family planning program will emphasize the importance of respecting reproductive rights as an integral effort to improve family quality. This study aims to determine the relationship between parity and the choice of MKJP in Wamsisi Village, Waesama District. This study is a quantitative study, an analytical observational study type with a cross-sectional research design. This study was conducted in Wamsisi Village, Waesama District with a population of 133 WUS in Wamsisi Village, Waesama District in 2024. The case sampling technique in this study used simple random sampling with a total of 100 respondents. The independent variable in this study is the parity of WUS and the dependent variable is the choice of MKJP. Data analysis using SPSS and the statistical test used is the Kruskal-Wallis Test. This study was conducted in January-February 2025. The results showed that half of the mothers had grandemultigravida parity, almost half of the mothers chose implant contraception. Based on the Kruskal-Wallis Test statistical test, the results show a P-value (0.001 <0.05), so H1 is accepted. There is a relationship between parity and the selection of MKJP in Wamsisi Village, Waemase District. Health workers need to improve education for WUS regarding the effectiveness of MKJP, especially for respondents who have high parity and have not chosen MKJP Keywords: Parity, selection of MKJP
