Abstract
ABSTRACT The Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Bojonegoro in 2019 was 149.66 per 100,000 live births. Although maternal and infant mortality declined in 2023, the coverage of K1 and K4 visits decreased, so improving the quality of antenatal care (ANC) services is important. Maternal satisfaction is a key indicator of the success of ANC services. To analyze factors influencing maternal satisfaction with ANC services, with service quality as an intervening variable at Balen Public Health Center, Bojonegoro Regency. This study employed a quantitative cross-sectional design with an analytic survey. Independent variables included medical staff communication, 10T minimum services, physical facilities, and waiting time. The dependent variable was maternal satisfaction, with service quality as the intervening variable. A total of 62 respondents were recruited using total sampling. Data were collected using Guttman and Likert scale questionnaires and analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Communication (t=2.582; p=0.010), 10T minimum services (t=2.488; p=0.013), physical facilities (t=2.472; p=0.013), and waiting time (t=2.382; p=0.017) significantly influenced maternal satisfaction through service quality. Both quality factors (X1) and access facilities (X2) had significant direct and indirect effects on satisfaction. Service quality (Z1) was significantly influenced by quality factors (t=5.581; p=0.000) and access facilities (t=3.076; p=0.002), and had a direct effect on satisfaction (t=3.715; p=0.000). Communication, 10T services, physical facilities, and waiting time significantly affect maternal satisfaction both directly and through service quality. Service quality acts as a strong mediator, making comprehensive improvement of ANC services essential to optimize maternal satisfaction at Balen Public Health Center.
