Abstract

Abstract Infancy is a golden period for the growth and development of children so it needs special attention. One of the factors that affect the baby's growth and development is sleep and rest. Sleep needs are not only seen from the aspect of quantity but also quality. Infant growth and development can be achieved optimally with good quality sleep. The design of this research is Pre Experimental Design with One Group Pretest Posttest using Simple Random Sampling technique and the number of samples is 15 babies. The research was conducted in January 2022. The results showed that the sleep quality of babies aged 6-11 months before massage was almost half enough for 6 respondents (40%). While the effect of sleep quality on babies aged 6-11 months after baby massage is mostly good and enough respondents as many as 14 respondents (93.4%). Based on the calculation of the Paired Simple T Test statistical test with the help of the SPSS 2020 program at an error level of 5%, calculations were carried out to determine whether there was an influence between variables, namely independent variables and related variables. The result of the calculation of p value is 0.002 < 0.05, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an average difference between pretest and posttest baby massage, which means that there is a relationship between baby massage and sleep quality for babies aged 6-11 months at Hafimah SPA. The results of this study researchers can conclude that there is a relationship between baby massage and sleep quality for babies aged 6-11 months at Hafimah SPA.
