Abstract

Abstract - Stress and work fatigue can occur due to demanding work, unfulfilled desires and limited abilities of workers. Female workers are at higher risk of experiencing work stress than men. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between stress levels and work fatigue and the menstrual cycle in formal female workers at the East Java Regional Police Health Service. This study used an analytical observational study with a Cross Sectional approach. The respondents were formal female workers at the East Java Regional Police Health Service. The sampling technique used simple random sampling. The data collection instrument used the UWFI Unimma Work Fatigue Instrument (UWFI) questionnaire and the menstrual cycle questionnaire. Data analysis used the Spearman correlation test. The results showed that 11% of respondents experienced mild work stress, 13% of respondents experienced moderate work stress and 27% of respondents experienced severe work stress, and 40% of respondents experienced very severe stress. Then, 25% of respondents experienced mild work fatigue, 31% of respondents experienced moderate work fatigue, and 45 respondents experienced severe work fatigue. Then 34% of respondents experienced regular menstrual cycles and 65% of respondents experienced irregular menstrual cycles. The results of the Spearman test obtained a p value = 0.000 and a correlation coefficient of r = 0.870' and r = 0.830' with a strong relationship strength and a positive correlation direction (+). Keywords: Stress, Work Fatigue, Menstrual Cycle
