Abstract

Abstract Postoperative was the period after surgery. Early mobilization had been influenced by several factors, including physiological factors (pain), emotional factors (anxiety, motivation, and social support). The research method used an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were 235 postoperative patients, and 36 samples were taken using consecutive sampling technique. Pain assessment instruments used the NRS, anxiety levels used the STAI questionnaire, motivation, social support, and mobilization used a questionnaire. The results of the study showed moderate pain 16 respondents (44.4%), mild anxiety 28 respondents (77.8%), strong motivation 25 respondents (69.4%), good social support 24 respondents (66.7%), and mobilization early 25 respondents (69.4%). This study used the Spearman Rank statistical test. The results showed that there was no relationship between pain and anxiety with early mobilization with a p value 0,194 >  0.05 and p value 0,640 >  0,05. On the other hand, there is a relationship between motivation and social support with early mobilization with a p value 0,000 <  0,05 and p value 0,000 <  0,05 in postoperative patients in the Mawar Kuning Room at Sidoarjo Hospital. Providing health education about the importance of early mobilization in postoperative patients necessary speed up the healing of surgical wounds.
