Abstract
Abstract Compliance is the level of behavior a person has regarding the treatment regimen. Efforts are being made to provide health education on good nutrition. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of peer group segregation on dietary compliance in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis in the hemodialysis room of Sidoarjo Hospital. The research design was quasi-experimental with a two-group approach for a pre-test design. The sampling technique used was proportional stratified random sampling with a total sample of 54 CKD patients on hemodialysis. The results showed that the mean food compliance score in the control group before the test was 87.93, in the control group after the test the mean was 98.102.6 on average. The analysis results obtained from the pre-test experimental group and the post-test experimental group showed a difference in the compliance score (p- value 0.000). Based on the calculation of the paired t-test statistic, a significant value was found in the experimental group (p-value 0.000) and the control group (p-value 0.010), with α = 0.05. Which means that the experimental group is below the alpha value (0.000 < 0.05), so Ho is rejected. The conclusion shows that sharing peer group support has an effect on dietary compliance of CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis in the hemodialysis room of Sidoarjo Hospital.
