Abstract

Abstract Mortality rates in hospital statistics are very important to determine the quality of health services in hospitals. Based on the results of the calculation from 2018 to Semester I 2022, it shows that the value of the GDR and NDR indicator numbers is getting higher and higher and exceeds the standard. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between EWS value and mortality rate. This type of research is a correlation analytic method with a cross sectional design and Rank Spearman correlation analysis. The results of the Rank Spearman statistical test conducted on the EWS value with the mortality of respondents obtained a value of ρ = 0.005 where the value is less than 0.05, which means that there is a significant relationship between the EWS value and the mortality rate. The statistical test also obtained a correlation coefficient of -0.322 which indicates a negative relationship with a weak degree of correlation.
