Abstract
Abstract - Non-adherence in Diabetes treatment is a factor that hinders the control of blood sugar levels. The role of nurses as educators is needed by diabetes mellitus patients because diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that requires monitoring so that further complications do not arise. The sample was obtained as many as 70 people selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire then the data analyzed by using Spearman Correlation test. The results explained that almost all respondents stated that the role of nurses as educators was good, namely 53 people (75.7%). Most respondents also stated that they were compliant with control, namely 52 people (74.3%). The results of the Spearman correlation test obtained rank spearman coeeficient (0.633) with the pvalue (0.000) so it was concluded that there was a strong correlation between the role of nurses as educators with compliance control of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at Bhayangkara H.S.
