Abstract
Abstract – This study aims to determine the effect of Range Of Motion (ROM) exercise on changes in pain scores in post op orif patients in the daysi room of Bhayangkara Hospital, Pusdik Brimob Watukosek. This type of research uses quasy experiment with pre test and post test designs. A sample of 31 lower extremity post op ORIF patients who fit the inclusion criteria and the sampling technique used was simple random sampling. In measuring pain scores using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) and test data used Wilcoxon Test. The results of this study were that the patient's pain scores before being given Range of Motion (ROM) exercises mostly had pain scores with severe criteria. After being given Range of Motion (ROM) exercises, almost all of them had pain scores with moderate criteria. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed a p value of 0.002 ≤ α (0.05), which means that there is an influence of range of motion (ROM) training on changes in pain scores in post-op patients in the daysi room at the Bhayangkara Hospital, Pusdik Brimob Watukosek. Range of motion exercises can be given as a non-pharmacological medical action that can be carried out by post-op ORIF lower extremity patients independently or with the help of other people which is useful for reducing the pain they feel and as a way to speed up wound healing and prevent complications. can occur in post-op fracture patients.
