Abstract
Abstract : Stroke rehabilitation is necessary for post-stroke recovery to enable patients to be more independent and have a better quality of life. The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between adherence to rehabilitative care and the quality of life of post-stroke patients at Al Islam H.M Mawardi General Hospital. This study used a descriptive analytical approach with a cross-sectional approach. Seventy-six patients were sampled using the Simple Random Sampling technique. The independent variable was the level of adherence, measured by the Morisky 8-Item Medication Adherence Score (MMAS-8) questionnaire modified into Indonesian. The dependent variable was the quality of life of post-stroke patients, assessed using the Short Version of Stroke Specific Quality of Life (SS-QOL) questionnaire in Indonesian. The Spearman Rank correlation test was used to analyze the relationship between the two variables. The results of the study showed that, most (53.9%) of respondents who had a moderate level of compliance felt they had a sufficient quality of life, Spearman Rank Test obtained a p-value = 0.01 <α (0.05) which means H1 is accepted, meaning there is a relationship between compliance with undergoing rehabilitative care and the quality of life of post-stroke patients at RSU Al Islam H.M Mawardi The higher the level of compliance with undergoing rehabilitative care in post stroke patients, the better their quality of life. This study is expected to be useful for the development of science in the field of nursing to improve the quality of life of post-stroke patients by ensuring patient compliance in undergoing rehabilitative care. Keywords: Post-Stroke, Rehabilitative Treatment, Adherence Level, Quality of Life.
