Abstract
The largest number of KB acceptors in Indonesia are dominated by injectable KB acceptors at 62.77%. The results of the Contraceptive Use Survey in Indonesia 2 (2023) show that 53.61% of fertile couples in Indonesia use contraceptives. The most widely chosen contraceptive method is injectable contraception, which is used by 62.42% of couples, because of its ease and effectiveness in preventing pregnancy. One of the side effects of contraception is weight gain between 1-5 kg. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between the use of injectable contraception and weight gain in KB acceptors at the Basmalah Clinic, Gendaran Village, Donorojo District, Pacitan Regency in 2024. This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach. The population is all injectable KB acceptors who came to the Basmalah Clinic, Gendaran Village, Donorojo District, Pacitan Regency in 2024. The number of samples is 188 people. The sampling technique is a simple random sampling technique using the Spearman statistical test. The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between the type of injectable contraception and weight gain in KB acceptors with a p value = 0.008 <α = 0.05. < then H1 is accepted then the relationship between the use of injectable contraception and weight gain in KB acceptors at the Basmalah Clinic, Gendaran Village, Donorojo District, Pacitan Regency in 2024. It is recommended for mothers who want to become KB acceptors to be wiser in determining the type of contraception to be used. Pay attention to the benefits, advantages and side effects of the contraception to be used. Keywords: Contraception, KB Injection Method, Weight Gain.
