Abstract
ABSTRACT Physiological and psychological changes experienced by mothers during pregnancy can trigger feelings of anxiety and restlessness. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family support and anxiety in pregnant women facing childbirth.. This study used a cross-sectional research design, namely a study that emphasizes the time of measurement or observation of data for both variables only once, the population in this study was 55 respondents. The sample in this study amounted to 49 respondents, taken using the accidental sampling technique. The instruments used were a family support questionnaire and a HARS scale questionnaire to measure the statistical test using Spearman's rho. The results of the study were that most of the 42 (89.7%) respondents received support from their families, most of the 28 (57.1%) respondents were in a non anxious conditioIt is hoped that the results of this study can help the operation of health programs and improve the quality of services both in the maternity clinic and in the delivery room Based on the Spearman's rho statistical test, the P value of 0.001 was obtained, which was smaller than 0.05, so it can be interpreted that there is a relationship between family support and anxiety in pregnant women facing childbirth at the Donorojo Health Center UPTD, Pacitan Regency. It is expected that the results of this study can improve the quality of services for pregnant women both in Polindes and Puskesmas by motivating families to support the pregnancy and childbirth process.
