Abstract

ABSTRACK In 2023 the government will initiate a catch-up vaccination program with double injections. The mother's interest in providing multiple junction immunization influences the child's immunization status. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between maternal interest in giving double injections and providing immunizations at the Posyandu in Bendung Village, Jetis District, Mojokerto Regency. This research is quantitative, the data source comes from a questionnaire. The total population was 35 respondents, and samples were taken using a simple random sampling technique, resulting in 32 respondents. The data was analyzed univariately and bivariately, then the Chi Square Test was carried out using the SPSS program. In this study, half of the respondents had a high interest in double injections, 15 respondents (46.9%), 12 respondents (37.5%) had a moderate interest and 5 respondents (15.6%) had a low interest. Most of the respondents had their children given immunizations as many as 27 respondents (84.4%), and mothers whose children were not given immunizations were 5 respondents (15.6%). The Chi Square test obtained a P value of 0.012 because there were less than 5% cells, so the Exact Fisher Test obtained a P value of 0.022 < 0.05, which means there is a significant relationship between the mother's interest in giving double injections and providing immunizations. The results of this research can be a reference for research sites to introduce more about double injection immunization for babies or toddlers by providing counseling, information and education regarding the double injection immunization program, procedures, as well as the benefits and side effects. The public increasingly understands the importance of complete basic immunization for toddlers and is willing to undergo double injection immunization to meet complete immunization targets for babies or toddlers.
