Abstract
Abstract - The quality of nursing services in primary healthcare centers such as community health centers (puskesmas) is strongly influenced by nurses' caring behavior. Poor interaction between nurses and patients may reduce patient satisfaction, which is a key indicator of healthcare quality. Carative caring is a nursing approach that emphasizes an empathetic relationship between nurse and patient. Patient satisfaction is considered one of the main indicators to evaluate the quality of nursing care. This study aims to analyze the relationship between nurses' carative caring and patient satisfaction with nursing services at Sidosermo Community Health Center Surabaya. This research is a quantitative study using a correlational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 50 respondents selected using consecutive sampling. The instruments used were the carative caring questionnaire and the patient satisfaction questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Chi- square test with a significance level of 0.05. The majority of respondents rated nurses' carative caring behavior as good (68.0%) and reported being satisfied with the nursing services (78.0%). The statistical test showed a p-value = 0.244 (p > 0.05), indicating that there was no statistically significant relationship between nurses' carative caring and patient satisfaction. However, descriptively, there is a tendency that caring behavior may influence patient satisfaction levels. Keywords: carative caring, patient satisfaction, nursing service, community health center
