Abstract
Abstract Marriage below the ideal age poses risks to women's mental and reproductive health. Knowledge and reproductive organ care skills among young married women are influenced by emotional mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, and stress, which impact access to and implementation of health care. This study aims to analyze the relationship between emotional mental disorders and knowledge and reproductive organ care skills among married women under the ideal age in Ogan Komering Ulu Timur District, South Sumatra. The research design used is analytical with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 28 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire covering emotional mental disorders as the independent variable, and knowledge and reproductive organ care skills as the dependent variables. Data analysis used the Spearman test. The results showed that most respondents were in the normal category for emotional mental disorders (64.29%), knowledge levels were evenly divided between moderate and high categories (50% each), while reproductive organ care skills were mostly adequate (53.57%). Statistical analysis showed a relationship between emotional mental disorders and knowledge of reproductive organ care (ρ = 0.013; r = -0.461) with a moderate negative correlation, meaning that the higher the emotional mental disorder, the lower the respondents' knowledge level. However, there was no significant relationship between emotional mental disorders and reproductive organ care skills (ρ = 0.322; r = -0.194). This study recommends improving reproductive health education and providing mental health services for married women under the age of 18 through premarital counseling, family support, and community involvement in providing adequate access to information and health services.
