Abstract

ABSTRACT Suka, K. 2022, Relationship between Work Shift and Workload with Stress Levels of Gerokgak Health Center Health Workers during the Post Covid-19 Pandemic in Gerokgak District, Buleleng Regency Gerokgak Health Center is one of the primary service units in West Buleleng. In this era of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are faced with formidable challenges in carrying out our roles and functions. The increased workload will certainly have an impact on the physical and mental health risks of Gerokgak Community Health Center staff. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between work shifts and workload with the level of work stress on health workers at Gerokgak Public Health Center. The design of this research is descriptive quantitative through a cross-sectional approach which was conducted from April to August 2022. The population of this study were all health workers at Gerokgak Public Health Center and the sample was obtained by using proportional random sampling technique as many as 85 people. The instrument of this research is to use the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) to measure the level of work stress. Data analysis was performed by univariate, bivariate (Spearman rank test) and multivariate (Ordinal Logistics Regression). The results showed that there was a positive relationship and influence between work shifts and work stress levels (p = 0.000, r = 0.846), there was a positive relationship and influence between workload and work stress levels (p = 0.000, r = 0.777), multivariate analysis showed that together work shifts and workloads have a significant positive relationship and influence on work stress levels, the results of the analysis of the relationship between work shifts and work stress levels are p = 0.012 (< 0.05) and the relationship between workloads and work stress levels is p = 0.018 (< 0.05), a positive effect together with an R-Square value of 0.811. Researchers suggest to related parties to optimize the use of facilities and infrastructure, as well as measurable and sustainable governance and management systems. With regard to human resources, it is necessary to review the need for staff and propose additional health workers. In addition, it is also necessary to hold employee refreshments to reduce the risk of ongoing work stress. Keywords: Work Shift, Workload, Work Stress Level.
