Abstract
Abstrac : Based on the results of a survey by researchers at RSU Rahman Rahim (2023), giving exclusive breastfeeding, regarding the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, and breastfeeding techniques, many postnatal mothers still do not understand and fail to provide exclusive breastfeeding. Based on these considerations, researchers want to conduct research to find out the role of staff. health towards the success of providing the exclusive Breastfeeding Service Support Program in the Nakula Room at RSU Rahman Rahim Sidoarjo." This type of research is Pre-Experimental Design with a static group comparison design. The research was conducted in February-March 2024 in the Nakula Room at RSU Rahman Rahim Sidoarjo. Sampling was taken with a total sample of 34 respondents who were divided into the intervention group which was given an exclusive breastfeeding service support program with poster media and practiced breastfeeding properly while the control group with RSU Rahman Rahim nurses were given breastfeeding position leaflets. Data processing uses the Wilcoxon Mann-Whitney Test. The results of the study showed that almost all of the group that received the exclusive breastfeeding service support program (76%) gave breast milk exclusively, while only the control group (35%) gave breast milk exclusively. The conclusion of this research is that the exclusive breastfeeding service support program is effective in the success of mothers in providing exclusive breastfeeding (p value 0.017). It is recommended that health workers increase motivation for exclusive breastfeeding so that they can provide support for pregnant women to breastfeed exclusively.
