Abstract
Abstract – moving joints, and limitations of the mother in doing daily activities. Post-SC pain can be overcome with non-pharmacological techniques, one of which is early mobilization. Mobilization is important to reduce pain and accelerate the mother's recovery so that she can do normal daily activities. The general objective of this study was to determine the Effect of Early Mobilization on Pain Intensity and Functional Recovery Time. This study uses a Quasy experiment research design with a Time series research design. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling with a sample size of 34 samples divided into 17 control groups and 17 intervention group samples. The instruments used are NRS observation sheets and functional recovery time. This study uses the Friedman test. The results of the study were obtained before being given early mobilization, all respondents experienced severe pain. After being given early mobilization in the intervention group, all respondents experienced mild pain, while in the control group 14 respondents (82.4%) experienced moderate pain. After being given early mobilization in the intervention group, all respondents needed 24 hours for functional recovery, while in the control group 9 respondents (52.9%) needed 48 hours for functional recovery. Based on the results of the Friedman test on the variables of early mobilization and pain intensity, a sig value of 0.000 <0.05 was obtained. While on the variables of early mobilization and functional recovery time, a sig value of 0.002 <0.005 was obtained. Which means that there is an effect of early mobilization on pain intensity and functional recovery time in post-cesarean section patients at Arafah Anwar Medika Hospital, Sidoarjo. Early mobilization makes patients concentrate on the movements carried out so that it can reduce the activation of chemical mediators in the inflammatory process that increases the pain response, so that it can accelerate the functional recovery of patients in the hospital.
